Joshua Okello in the middle meeting with Conservative Party deputy Leader Tim Uppal left and Jasraj the party financial critic

On November 7th 2022, I got a chance to meet with Conservative Party deputy leader Tim Uppal and Finance critic Jasraj Hallan in Winnipeg to discuss the future of the Conservative party in Manitoba.

Other Party dignitaries were also present. It was a fruitful meeting with three messages,  hope,  inclusivity and good governance. This event was attended by Winnipeg chamber of commerce members,  Jewish, Ukrainians, African Canadians, Philipinos and sikh communities.

Canadians and Manitobans alike are going through the toughest time during this recession which is anticipated to worsen towards the end of the first quarter going into second quarter of 2023. The message from Tim Uppal was very encouraging knowing that there is silver lining.

Raquel Dancho member of parliament Kildona-St. Paul,  encouraged the attendants and Manitobans in general to unite and stay Hopeful.  Tim Uppal also said that given the current state of the country,  we need to prepare for the worst and hope for the  best.  This might also include early elections.

"Manitobans are resilient and we have gone through the most recessions today than any other generations ever recorded.  Because we managed the past, we should keep our hopes high that tomorrow will be better" - Josh Okello
